چکیده

This work illustrates the improvement in ultra-trace Hg(II) determination water based on a novel flexible extraction and preconcentration technique (FEPT). method focuses covalent functionalisation of carbon fibre (CF) (3-mercaptopropyl)trimethoxysilane. The CF is carried out two steps: functionalising surface using acid treatment to obtain hydroxy carboxyl groups surface, followed by condensation reaction between or (CF-OH) (3-mercaptopropyl)trimethoxysilane form mercapto-CF (CF-SH). FTIR, EDX, SEM, XRD UV-Vis were utilised confirm modification. ICP-MS determine assess influence memory effect results Au3+ solution suspended Au nanoparticles (Au-NPs). result shows that Au-NPs improve detection eliminate effect. study also includes appropriate parameters for contact time, eluent solution, pH, foreign metal ions factor. As result, thiol-CF high uptake, flexibility, stability during analysis process, with recovery 98.96% ± 0.41% 10 factors. These features make FEPT valuable extracting pollutants overcoming problems associated such samples.

Preconcentration and determination of trace metals in seawater using a thiol cotton fiber minicolumn coupled with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.

A rapid separation and preconcentration method was developed for the determination of trace metals Cu, Zn, Cd, and Pb in seawater using a minicolumn packed with thiol cotton fiber (TCF) coupled with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Preconcentration parameters, such as seawater sample volume and flow rate and eluent hydrochloric acid concentration, volume and flow rate, wer...

Selective Separation and Preconcentration of trace Amounts of Gallium in Water and Rice Samples using Cloud Point Extraction and Determination by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometry

In the present study a cloud-point extraction process using non-ionic surfactant Triton X-114 for selective extraction of gallium from aqueous solutions was developed. The method is based on the complex formation of Ga (III) with N, N′ -bis (salycilidene)-1, 2-phenylenediamine (salophen) as a chelating agent in buffer media of pH 5. After phase separation and dilution of the surfactant-rich pha...

Liquid chromatography-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.

The technique of coupling liquid chromatography to inductively plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) is reviewed. A brief introduction to the ICP-MS instrument is given as well as methods to couple the two analytical instruments together. The various types of LC that have been used with ICP-MS detection are discussed and advantages over traditional methods of detection are highlighted, such as the ...
